Certified Peer Educator (CPE) training is an effective strategy for building a well-educated and sustainable peer education group, helping peer educators develop the leadership skills needed to successfully create and implement campus programs.

The Certified Peer Educator (CPE) program is a comprehensive, 12 hour training that is broken up into two six-hour sessions.

The training includes eight modules that cover the role of a peer educator, how to help peers make behavioral changes, listening skills, response and referral skills, how to take action and intervene, how to build inclusivity and accessibility on campus, presentation skills, self-care, and group dynamics.

By completing this training, students will earn their Certified Peer Educator Certification and will enhance their abilities as leaders, role models, activists, and team members.

The Wellness Center offers CPE training over two days from 9:00am-5:00pm.

You must attend both days in a session in order to be certified.

We are currently not offering CPE sessions. Join our listserv on the “Self care” tab to be alerted to when we have new course dates on the calendar!

CPE training is a great opportunity for students involved in organizations, fraternities and sororities, leadership positions, and more.

We are not currently offering trainings, although this may change in the future.
