The goal is to practice meditation as frequently as possible aim for 4x a week for about at least 10 min a day! (5 min if need be)

Please read below for the benefits of mindfulness meditation!

Please know there are many different forms of meditation, and whichever you choose to endeavor in has its own range of benefits.

There are two major styles of meditation: (Taken from Health Line Nutrition)

  • Focused-attention meditation: Concentrates attention on a single object, thought, sound, or visualization. It emphasizes ridding your mind of attention and distraction. Meditation may focus on breathing, a mantra, or a calming sound.
  • Open-monitoring meditation: Encourages broadened awareness of all aspects of your environment, train of thought, and sense of self. It may include becoming aware of thoughts, feelings, or impulses that you might normally try to suppress.

You’re not trying to turn off your thoughts or feelings. You’re learning to observe them without judgment. And eventually, you may start to better understand them as well.
