Smoke/Tobacco-Free at UIC

I need to pay a fine

I want to waive the fine and take the online educational training

This payment page is for UIC students who have received a ticket for smoking on the UIC Campus. There are three payment options:

Option One: You can waive out of paying the fine by viewing a 40-minute online educational training called Nicotine 101. It is possible to waive out of paying the fine only once. For more information on how to waive out of the fine click here.

Option Two: You can pay the fine by making a check out to the “UIC Wellness Center.” The check or money order should be sent to the UIC Wellness Center at the address below. Each check needs to be accompanied by a cover sheet. Click here to complete and print cover sheet.

Option Three: An online payment option is currently under construction. Until then, please send either a check or money order and follow the instructions in Option two.

UIC Wellness Center Student Center East
750 S. Halsted Street suite 238 M/C 894
Chicago, IL 60607

This payment option is only for UIC students who have received their third citation for smoking on the UIC Campus. This option, waiving out of a smoking citation fine, can only be used once. Payment must be made on all other smoking citations as set by the UIC Police.

This online training, “Nicotine 101”, offers personalized feedback that allows the individual to reflect on beliefs, behaviors, and experiences. This course addresses health risks and the impact of smoking on the body. This course also facilitates the opportunity for individuals to decide on their own quitting plan.

Click on the link below and you will be taken to an instruction sheet. Follow these instructions to a website hosted by 3rd Millennium Classroom. It is here that you will take the “Nicotine 101” course. You must complete the course fully in order to waive payment of the citation. The system will automatically alert administrators when you have completed the course. For your records save a copy of the completion certificate.
