In order to receive permission to conduct this course at UIC, the Wellness Center must adhere to any and all guidelines established by the National Council. The Instructor Led Session of this course will be 6.5 hours, including the 1 hour break. Please keep the length of this session in mind and prepare ahead of time to be fully present during the course. While on Zoom, it will be a requirement to keep your camera on for the entirety of the session. We ask that you refrain from using your phone, so please be sure to inform people you will be away from your phone and email during this time. This course is highly interactive, so active participation will be expected. Please note some sensitive topics related to mental health will be discussed during this session. Your instructors will be prepared with tools and resources to assist you if any information becomes overwhelming. There is a pre-course work component that you will be expected to complete prior to attending the Instructor Led Session. These modules are entirely online and self-paced and take around 30-90 minutes to complete. Participants must arrive to the course no later than 5 minutes after the start time. Participants who are late will have to be removed from the Instructor Led Session and placed on a wait list for future courses. In this case, only completed pre-course work would count towards future courses. FOR GROUPS: MHFA courses must have at least 5 people in attendance and must be no more than 30 people.
